Steve Ruffner, DVM

Steve Ruffner, DVM - A seasoned small animal veterinarian for over 36 years, Steve extends his integrity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to ranch real estate, guaranteeing top-notch client service. A graduate of Amarillo Tascosa High School, Steve earned Cum Laude distinctions in both his BS in Biomedical Science and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. His wife, Laura, also a Texas A&M graduate, is an equine veterinarian. Their shared dream led to owning the beautiful 622-acre R4 Ranch in southern Young County along the Brazos River.

Family is central to Steve's life. His son, Ryon, a Texas A&M graduate in Environmental Geosciences, is pursuing a career as a pilot, and his daughter, Regan, is dual majoring in Forensics and Psychology at the same university. The Ruffners' love for animals is evident as they have French bulldogs, cats, donkeys, horses, and registered Angus cattle.

After 27 years running a veterinary practice in Southlake, Steve and Laura have ventured into ranch real estate, bringing a wealth of experience and a unique perspective. Steve is ready to leverage his knowledge to help clients buy or sell land throughout Texas. His passions include hunting, fishing, Aggie sports (anything Aggie!), and restoring early 1900s homes.

In Steve, clients find not just a real estate agent, but a dedicated professional with a deep understanding of the land, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to excellence in every transaction. Whether you are buying or selling, you can trust Steve to handle your real estate needs with the same care and dedication he has shown throughout his distinguished career.
