Born and raised in the Texas Hill Country, ranching and farming have been Whitley’s family’s livelihood for many generations. Along with her parents, they raise Angus and Hereford cattle, a variety of goats, and have several heads of horses. In addition to her ranching background, she has also been involved in rodeo since she was five years old. She has been blessed in that she was able to continue this sport in college on the Texas A&M and Texas A&M Commerce Rodeo Teams, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Her family history and background have molded her into the person she is today and she is forever thankful to have grown up in an agricultural family.
