Description

On the northern shoreline of West Galveston Bay is the largest and most diverse recreational ranch opportunity within an hour of Houston. The Chocolate Bay Ranch consists of over 4,900 acres of prime Texas Coast with shoreline directly on Chocolate Bay, Halls Bayou, Persimmon Bayou, and New Bayou. The ranch itself is a mixture of upland dry acreage as well as thousands of acres of coastal estuary. Some of the highlights include 5 freshwater wetland units, a system of over 20 miles of leveed roads, an engineered tidal system, and a history of professional management.

The fishing is incredible with the unique ability for year round private saltwater access. Dry land wildlife encompasses all manner of native species including populations of native Bobwhite quail, White-tailed deer and Wild Hogs. Migratory birds tend to steal the show with tens of thousands of species utilizing the ranch over the season.

Directions: The ranch is only 15 minutes from I-45, 35 minutes from Hobby Airport, and 45 minutes from Downtown Houston. The ranch is accessed off of Highway 2004.
