Cody Maxwell is the Owner and Broker of Capitol Ranch Real Estate, and is one of the leading ranch real estate brokers in Texas. He started his real estate career selling land in Hood County in 2000, before moving back to Clifton and becoming a Central Texas broker in 2003. Capitol Ranch Real Estate has represented clients in over 113 counties throughout Texas and is ranked one of the top ranch real estate brokerages in the United States, and Texas Best, as recognized by The Land Report based on an analysis of company earnings, history, and amount and size of transactions.

Cody has an extensive client base including CEO's, Hall of Fame sports figures, business owners, government officials, investors, and attorneys. He will bring a strategic yet personable approach to the land buying and selling process.

As a prominent figure in the ranch real estate market, he has received acclaim from the real estate community and represents some of the most exclusive ranches across Texas. His knowledge in ranching and selling high-end properties has helped him to procure record sales. Within his career Cody has successfully represented his clients in achieving over one billion dollars in land transactions.

Cody was raised in Clifton, Texas, and is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Animal Science with a beef cattle emphasis. He invented and patented the Drive-Over Chock, and coined the phrase “ranch real estate” as seen first in public advertisements in 2011. He enjoys fishing and hunting with family and friends, and raises Angus cattle, axis deer, and bongo antelope with his wife and two kids.
